Dane Halling is the lead manager on Tideway's wealth management portfolios, InvestwithQ's IFA introduced portfolios and the firms equity specialist. Dane started in the investment business in 1987, and for 15 years worked in a variety of London-based roles for two US investment firms, former shipping company turned investment bank, Alex. Brown & Sons, and Wisconsin-based RW Baird. Since 2004, he has been involved in various investment activities including wealth management for individuals, and since 2006, working with former institutional colleagues in establishing and launching the Perlus Microcap Fund LP, an offshore smaller companies investment fund.
James Baxter is Tideway's managing partner and lead adviser for private individulas, families and family owned businesses. James has been a financial adviser and investment manager since 1986. Building his own firm JBCM Ltd from a start up in 1989 to £150m of funds under management before completing a sale to the firm's management in February 2008. Specialist qualifications in pensions advice and portfolio management and keen yacht racer, dinghy sailor and windsurfer.
Peter Doherty is Tideway's lead manager on Macro Strategy Growth accounts and the firms specialist on bond markets, currencies and macro trends. A graduate of Oxford university with over 20 years experience in fixed income and derivatives markets, Peter has held a number of senior positions at Goldman Sachs, Bear Sterns and Bank of America. Peter is a keen cyclist and wine connoisseur with a significant collection built up over the last 15 years.
