Tideway Investment Partners employs a “Safety First” approach to portfolio management:
- Core bond investments provide a very high degree of certainty of principal return in any macro- economic environment
- Focus on bonds issued by solvent governments and large, “household-name” companies
- Excess returns generated from specific security selection with emphasis on understanding and managing downside risks over any 12 – 18 month horizon
- Profile future returns from each security and across the whole portfolio
- Tolerate price volatility that comes from some higher yielding investments
